Meet Our Team Of Professionals

As the sole therapist licensed in both Arizona and North Carolina, she offers personalized therapy services to clients in both states, providing flexibility through in-person and telehealth options.

"I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Arizona and North Carolina, and the founder of Brave Heart Therapy. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky and my Master’s in Social Work from Arizona State University. I specialize in working with individual adults (18+) navigating trauma, PTSD and complex PTSD, anxiety and depressive disorders, mood disorders, and life transitions.

I am a certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist as of September 1, 2023. I also have training in Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), Structural Dissociation Theory, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which I integrate based on each client’s needs.

My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and multimodal—meaning I draw from a range of evidence-based methods to support clients in uncovering the roots of their distress and finding meaningful relief.

As a therapist, my goal is not just to do something for you—but to be something for you: grounded, present, compassionate, and real. I’m warm and down-to-earth, but also direct. I believe in holding space and also holding you accountable—because that’s how real change happens. My aim is to create a safe, accepting space where you can show up fully, feel supported, and begin to challenge and rewrite any self-defeating narratives that no longer serve you."

"I am Licensed Associate Counselor of Brave Heart Therapy.  I earned a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Colorado and a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Arizona State University. I provide psychotherapy to individual adults (18+) and specialize in anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and trauma processing.

I have been trained in level 1 EMDR processing, which I completed January 2024. In addition, I utilize other modalities including: ACT (Acceptance Commitment Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).

My theoretical orientation is trauma informed, client centered, feminist, and multiculturally minded. I use all these various orientations to provide a well rounded therapeutic experience for clients from all walks of life.

As a therapist, my intention is to provide a safe place to explore the ways in which mental health issues have been a barrier to living a fulfilled life. In addition, I also help clients identify their strengths and resilience so they can be confident in navigating life’s ups and downs moving forward."

“I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire in 2020 and went on to earn my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University in 2025. I am a Licensed Associate Counselor, and I provide psychotherapy to adults, young adults, individuals, and couples navigating a variety of emotional and relational challenges. I specialize in working with anxiety disorders, depressive and mood disorders, trauma, relationship and attachment issues, emotional dysregulation, and self-esteem concerns.

I am trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), and my approach is also informed by Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy. My work is grounded in attachment theory, and I take a trauma-informed, client-centered approach to therapy. I tailor each session to meet the unique needs and goals of my clients, believing that healing and growth happen when therapy is both personalized and collaborative.

I strongly value the therapeutic relationship and work to create a safe, warm, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. I strive to build trust and comfort from the very beginning, and I prioritize transparency, authenticity, and compassion in all of my interactions. Whether you're seeking support through a difficult time or looking to deepen your self-understanding, I am committed to walking alongside you with care and intention.”

Samantha is the only therapist at this time that provides therapy for couples.
